1) Athro Limited does not collect personal information
for any purpose other than to respond to you.
Athro Limited does not sell names or addresses of users. Athro Limited does not compile profiles of users. Athro Limited does not provide any personally identifying information to any third party for any purpose whatsoever.
2) Children under the age of 13 are asked to obtain parental consent before they disclose their name or email address.
Being an educational site, Athro Limited is particularly concerned about protecting children's privacy.
Athro Limited allows all users, including children to send email messages to us. We allow all users, including children to type their name and email address part of their message so that we can respond personally to them. Providing this information is entirely optional. We specifically ask children to get their parents' permission before providing any information to us. When anyone, including children, sends us a message with their email address, the email address is used only to enable us to respond to the writer. Athro Limited encourages parents to spend time online with their children.
3) Access logs are maintained. They contain no personaly identifying information.
We record the following information about visits to some pages in the site:
- Time and date of visit
- Environment variables: REMOTE_HOST, HTTP_REFERER, HTTP_USER_AGENT
- JavaScript: Enabled or Disabled
A sample entry from the log file reads:
At 13:51:41 on 01/06/98 sd28.dreamscape.com came from http://www.athro.com using Mozilla/3.01 (Win95; I) with javascript enabled.
We record the following information about all file requests:
- Time and date of visit
- IP address of Remote host, file requested, httpd result code, bytes transfered.
A sample entry from the log file reads:
odin.dreamscape.com - - [21/Dec/1999:13:23:07 -0500] "GET /index1.html HTTP/1.0" 200 5448
4) Messages sent to us through the comment form are sent as normal email. They are not encrypted. You should not send us any information you would not normaly send as email.
5) Athro Limited does sell advertising space on its pages. Advertisers may use cookies to track views of advertisments. Advertisment serving software may also log the ip address of visitors to the Athro site.
